Favorite Places to Visit in Spring in Central Mass

0

It is finally March, which means we’re slowly creeping up on spring and all the beauty +
fun that comes with it. And I am so looking forward to the flowers and trees blooming. I
have compiled a list of a few of our favorite places to visit in Spring to help you and your family have some fun once it starts warming up!

Ferjulian’s Farm

Ferjulian’s Farm is a must visit farm in Hudson, MA. Opening day for tulip picking is
usually mid-April and lasts until early May. It’s an absolutely beautiful experience. The
greenhouses are full of beautiful flowers + plants, the tulip fields are full of blooms for
picking, and the fresh donuts are made each morning!

Acton Arboretum

Acton Arboretum is another beautiful place to visit. The gardens offer beauty year
round, but the fresh blooms are hard to beat in the spring. The free
walking paths make it a great place for frequent visiting & burning that extra energy.

Local Nurseries

Visiting a nursery is a must! Again, we love Ferjulian’s, but there are so many great
options. In Groton, we love visiting Riverdale Farm & Garden. Central Mass Gardens is
another great one that has some beautiful tree and shrub options to get your flower
beds looking fresh.

If you haven’t visited Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House, Spring is the perfect time. The
grounds are beautiful with daffodils and other spring blooms. Plus, it’s an amazing historical site.

Late spring is the perfect time for fruit picking, specifically strawberries. There are so
many amazing farms in Central Mass and Southern New Hampshire.

These are a few of our favorites to check out:

Hollis Hills Farm
Lavoies Farm
Brookdale Fruit Farm

Of course there are so many things to see & do but these are some of our favorites! Let
me know if you check any of these off your list.
