Central Mass is full of great summer camps, but finding the best one for your kids can be a daunting process! We know you’re busy, that’s why we’ve done the work for you and rounded up all the options we could find in the Central Mass area. So, we hope this guide makes the task of planning your family’s summer a little less stressful and a little more fun.

The Story School is an overnight, eduLARP summer camp that uses the power of stories to teach. Nestled in the woods of Nature’s Classroom in Charlton MA, The Story School transforms campers into heroes using an immersive, interactive, and inclusive fantasy world based on history, mythology, and literature.
Our 2023 Season runs from July 2nd – August 18th and offers a special week for both younger and older campers
During the day, campers are heroes solving STEAM puzzles, encountering immersive escape rooms, battling our trained monsters, and leveling their game characters using real-world knowledge of science, physics, chemistry, and first aid. In the evenings, our campers relax with board games, armor-crafting, storytelling, and other camp bonding activities.
Serving a population that includes neuro-diverse and LBGTQ+ campers, all heroes ages 8 – 17 are welcome to become heroes and spend their summer in a story.
Penguin Coding School in-person Summer Camp provides a 50-50 split between screen time and non-screen time. Students explore Coding, 3-D Printing, LEGO Robotics, and Outdoor Hands-On Science. Teachers are all fully vaccinated and classrooms are all well-ventilated. Limited spots available!
Kids ages 6-9 can choose between Minecraft or Scratch themed camp, and those 9-12 can choose either Python or Roblox themed camp. Camps for 6-12 are structured on a weekly basis and all camp days are from 9am-3pm (Extended day till 5pm can be purchased for $40 per day)
Penguin Coding School also holds Summer Weekly High School Intensive Courses for Ages 13-18. Students can learn Python, Java, or Mobile App Development. These courses are designed to excel students to the next level and prepare them for AP Exams.
