Melody lives in Brimfield with her husband, three children, and a deaf dog named Bruce. With five years of cloth diapering, she has spent many hours folding laundry. With her third child she is finally comfortable using woven wraps. All of her kids started their food journey with baby-led weaning. She loves supporting her husband in his personal training business to guide others in their journey to create better lifestyles for themselves and their families. In order to balance life as a full-time mom and entrepreneur she created many systems at home for time management, organization, and meal planning. Through her business, Family Stories by Melody Joy, she offers on-location, lifestyle family photography and filmmaking. She loves capturing families’ everyday moments because pictures and films have a unique way of putting us right back into the moment to relive memories, again and again. She believes everyone has a story that deserves to be remembered. Her films and photos bring together treasures of everyday life that hold meaning and bring joy. Her work gives her the opportunity to change people’s lives for the better by giving them new eyes to see the beauty of life, exactly the way it is.
